Travel to Budapest
Transport during the Games (Public Transport)
Before the start of the Games, IFIUS will inform each team about all Budapest 2008 aspects on the Member Area of this website. Therefore you will receive in March 2008 a username and password to enter the Member Area.
During the Games, each team will dispose of a team attaché, who will welcome the team upon arrival and guide the delegation to the sport venues and all other Budapest 2008 events.

Budapest is easily reached by all means of transport. The following website link of the Budapest Tourist Office is a useful instrument to determine your travel schedule:
With minimum 1.250 participants divided over different ho(s)tels and sport venues, the only appropriate transport modality to travel around Budapest is the Public Transport System.
IFIUS, together with the host university, is finalizing a cooperation agreement with the Budapest Public Transport Management, which will offer week passes to access metro, busses and tramways at a highly reduced fee. At the end of March 2008, IFIUS hopes to inform each team about the reduced prices.
