Mr. Alex Tveritin, member of the Russian Olympic Committee and specialized in the Russian Youth Sports Platform, underlines in an open letter, directed to all universities of the Russian Federation, the efforts of many Russian IFIUS members to participate in the World Interuniversity Games.
In addition, Mr. Alex Tveritin, congratulates the Federation with its 10th birthday: “Dear Sport Friends! On behalf of the Russian Olympic Committee, I would like to congratulate IFIUS with its 10th anniversary and its contribution to the worldwide development of interuniversity sport. I’m proud to congratulate the nearly 30 Russian IFIUS members for their successful participations in the World Interuniversity Games. Especially MESI (Football Champion Dublin 2006), Leningrad State University (Basketball Champion Vienna 2007), Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology (Futsal Champion Dublin 2006) et Uktah State University (Futsal Champion Rotterdam 2005). I’m convinced that the IFIUS Games are an excellent platform for Russian students to meet other students from Europe, China and all other countries and regions of the world. At this moment, the IFIUS Games welcome 1.350 students but the Federation tries to offer each year more universities, also Russian universities, the opportunity to participate. Sincerely, A.
